Experience was sub par in my experience with Olive Garden. Utensils were dirty, wine glasses were dirty. Entree was dried out and pasta was over cooked. Appetizer came moments before the entrees. Wait staff appeared unknowledgeable and required instructions to be repeated several times.

I typically refrain from writing Yelp reviews of corporate-owned chains unless they did something really great or really terrible. I also hadn't been to an Olive Garden in nearly a decade until I stopped by this one on a recent family road trip. To be honest, the ONLY reason I considered going here was that it had the best reviews of any restaurant in St. George but after my visit, I knew why. The food was definitely better than I remembered but still within the realm of predictable but the service was outstanding. When we arrived, we were told it would be 20 minutes, but it was really closer to 5 minutes. Our waiter was great and on top of things. Another server brought us our food and the grilled chicken my son had asked for was missing from his pasta, but when we mentioned it to the waiter and told him it wasn't a big deal and that we just wanted to make sure he didn't include the extra charge for it on the bill, he automatically took the entire entree off the bill. That little extra bit of niceness was really outstanding and definitely made this location stand out in my mind.

It's alright. I have been to different restaurants with better. The breadsticks are always cold with not enough garlic stuff.

Let's be honest, we all go to Olive Garden for the free breadsticks. At this location, the breadsticks are cold and hard. Even if they had been good, our table only received enough for each of is to have two. Not nearly enough in normal circumstances. And while they have a very extensive menu (seafood, chicken, beef) there are 6 options if you want pasta. 6 pasta dishes at an Italian restaurant? I find that ridiculous. It took 10 minutes for the server to take my drink order and another 10 for it to be delivered. Refills were exactly the same, I had to ask and they took several minutes to get there. When I saw the manager walking around, I figured it'd be great, I could express my concerns to him. But apparently you are only worthy of a managers attention if you are in a party of five or more, everyone else was ignored. My recommendation? If you are in a large party, they will serve you. Small groups are ignored by the entire staff.

Some Olive Gardens are a bit snobby (really? it's Olive Garden!lol) and some are rude. The Olive Garden in St. George is low-key, friendly, offering prompt service. I wish they offered mineral water, but I go for their Zuppa toscana and salad...yum..yum! We never feel rushed and the food is always good.

The food was good and the service was excellent! Shelly made the meal a memorable one. My husband always enjoys the Chicken Parmesan and I tried the Eggplant Parmesan for the first time and enjoyed it.

It is an Olive Garden. Like most chain restaurants, you pretty much know what to expect when you go into one. I did enjoy the service however. The waitress was very nice and efficient. And when she found out we were visiting from out of town, she started to give us some very useful recommendations. She even checked the expected weather in Zion and gave us some pointers.

3 of us, two ordered two different soups, Toscana & Gnocch, third ordered Spaghetti. first bowl of soup was good for both of us. 2nd bowl of Tocana no potatoes or sausage, 2nd bowl of Gnocch no Gnocch. Spagetti was like a can of marinara sauce pored over, ordered meat sauce. We were visited with flies during the whole meal, must have liked our windows seat. Have always loved Olive Garden, now do not feel we will go back.

Great place with a good atmosphere. Bread sticks are great and so is the chicken parmigiana! Service was really good. I would recommend Olive Garden.

Dropped in after a long day of driving and lots of snow - came in with the kids. Food was as expected, good and tasty. The service was good in general - only issue was the soup they forgot about and the fact that it took them forever to get the desserts out at the end. One thing we found annoying was the fact that they charged us extra for swapping the spaghetti with pasta - added $3 which was 30% extra and didn't think they needed to mention that when we made the swap

We were so very excited to eat here! We had waited all week Long to have a meal here. We sit And just get ready to order our meal, I order my favorite...oh sorry, we are all out of that... So I order my second favorite, sorry, we are out of that too. However, I tried the chicken mozzarella and it was pretty good! Silver lining, I broke out of my norm and tried something new and actually really enjoyed it... Will come back, after all it is olive garden and still really tasty.

The food is pretty good. It's not traditional Italian food... Definitely Americanized Italian. I wish they would put more than one or two olives in the salads. Seriously, we always go in groups and everyone always wants an olive but there are never enough! The servers are pretty friendly and are fairly fast with drink refills. Portions are pretty big too.

Great customer service during quick lunch break. Walked in, sat in the bar area without waiting and within 10 minutes had my soup, salad, breadsticks & water. Of course it tasted great....

Pretty standard Olive Garden experience. Everything was okay but not mind blowing. Our waiter on this trip was a little short and not very friendly. The chicken Alfredo I had was a little disheveled but tasted fine.

Great service, good food. The Manager came by to ask us about our experience. The server gave us the option of the order in which we received our food. We didn't have to wait a long time for the check. All and all a great experience.

We visited on Sunday the 23rd and decided to sit in the bar and Jana was the bartender. She is awesome!!!!! The bar was super busy but Jana didn't let that ruin her great attitude and service. Thank you Jana!!!! We came back this evening but sat in the dinning room and Rebecca was our server. I'm not sure if Rebecca is new to servering but her timing was completely off. She started off by throwing drink coasters at us because she couldn't reach the other end of the table. When she brought out our water she threw the straws down in the middle of the table, not very professional, even if you can't reach the other side. Before any of us were done with our food she asked if there was anything else she could get us and then she asked if we needed boxes, we did but we were still eating. She brought out the boxes and tried to take our plates. We had to tell her to leave the boxes and we will take care of it ourselves when everyone was finished. She seemed surprised and said she would bring out our bill. Rebecca didn't even ask if we wanted dessert. We needed one more box for our left overs and asked a different waitress if they could grab us one. She asked who was our server but then said, "nevermind I'll get it myself." REALLY?!?!?!? That's what you should have done in the first place. The food on both visits were good. If it wasn't for Jana I would have given this review 2 stars because of the service. Jana could teach the servers a thing or two.

I've asked locals before what the best Italian restaurant is in St. George, and have received the answer: "Olive Garden." I suppose that should not be that surprising, because St. George is not exactly a bastion of celebrity chefs. Anyway, I finally decided to find out for myself. The restaurant even accepted a reservation, and when my party of six arrived, it was honored, and we were seated in a large booth. The 3-Item Appetizer Plate was a nice start with good Calamari Fritti, satisfying Clam-Stuffed Mushrooms, and mostly hollow Fried Mozzarella. Next was a zesty and tummy-warming bowl of Pasta Fagioli, followed by an always excellent and limitless salad bowl sporting chilled lettuce, tomato slices, pepperoncini, Black Olives, crunchy croutons, and an Olive Garden classic: its homemade version of Green Goddess Dressing. Fettuccine Alfredo was good, but unfortunately my entree of Grilled Trout was only fair--not very flavorful. Service was helpful and excellent. I just felt let down on my entree. 3-1/2 Stars Overall

Your typical Olive Garden. I would give it one more star for our waitress because she was an absolute gem dealing with us, but a review shouldn't be based on one solo worker...or should it? Anyways, food came out fast and our server was very very accommodating. We wanted a fast meal and she provided us with speedy service. She even put extra breadsticks in a take out box for EACH of us.

We had a nice dinner tonight at Olive Garden. Even though we came near closing time all the food was fresh, hot and tasty. Best of all breadsticks right out of the oven. Our server was fast and efficient and our drinks were kept full. I have never had a bad meal at this location. We will be back soon.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
